Rule-Based Teams

With a rule-based team, available with a Workleap Officevibe Pro plan, Administrators can have Workleap Officevibe automatically assign members to the team based on a set of criteria. Managers are assigned to rule-based teams manually, and those managers will have visibility.

Tip: If you are only interested in gaining insight into a set of members without manager visibility, create a segment instead.

Note: Before creating a rule-based team, you'll need to have relevant properties to base the rules on, and have them properly assigned to members.

Creating or editing a rule-based team

  1. Go to Settings, then click Teams from the lefthand menu.
  2. Click Create Team at the top of the page to create a new rule-based team, or select the team from the list if it already exists to edit it.
  3. Enter a team name, pick a colour, and select the team managers.
  4. Under Team type, select Rule-based.
  5. Set up the rules:
    • Select whether members must match all the rules or at least one of them.
    • Create a rule using the Property, Condition, and Value boxes. For example, "Hire Date occurred less than 3 months ago."
    • Click Add rule to add more rules if necessary.
    • You'll see a list of members who currently match the criteria at the bottom of the page.
  6. Click Save. The team is added to the list and marked with a lightning bolt icon to show it is rule-based.

Turning a rule-based team into a manual team

  1. Go to Settings, then click Teams from the lefthand menu.
  2. Select the rule-based team from the list of teams.
  3. Under Team type, select Manual.
  4. Click Save.
