Within Officevibe, you have the ability to segment the workforce into groups/sub-groups. It is a great way to get precise insights and seize granular opportunities within different groups in your organization as well as compare the results.
In order to get started, you will go to the Manage - Groups section of the account and click on the Create Group button.
Note: Only Admins and Company Managers are able to create new groups in the account.
Group Segmentation
We've found that groups need to contain at least 3 members for a sufficient amount of data to be gathered. Therefore, you will need to have a minimum of 3 users in a group to be able to view scores and other quantitative data. To have access to the anonymous feedback for a group, the minimum requirement is 5 members in a group.
If you have two teams with less that 3 members each, we suggest grouping them together in Officevibe and assigning both managers of each team to this one hybride group. This will allow both managers to view data and collaborate together on initiatives and replying to feedback. It's not ideal, however it will at least allow these managers to have access to some information rather than none.
Now on to the good stuff! Here are some group segmentation ideas:
Note: Employees can be part of multiple groups.
Organizational Structure |
|
Create groups for each team and combine them into departments. You can combine the departments to create business units if needed. Why? This will allow Managers to engage their direct reports and discuss results/solutions with them. |
![]() |
Projects Flow |
|
Create a group for each cross-team Project. Why? This will allow Project Owners to identify specific roadblock/opportunities related to the project and respond to the group through the Feedback and Poll channels. |
![]() |
Track Engagement of Leaders |
|
Create a group for each level of management (e.g. All Team Leaders vs. All Directors). Why? This will allow Company Managers to observe the engagement of their Group Managers and offer them an opportunity to help them grow as leaders. This is important because they will have a direct effect on the employees' Engagement below them. |
![]() |
User Attributes |
|
Create a group of users sharing the same Attributes (e.g. talent pools, gender, generations, employee life cycle, etc.). Why? This will allow you to identify trends and variations based on Attributes you believe are important to analyze. |
![]() |
Turnover |
|
Create a group of all the employees that left the organization as of specific date. Why? This will allow you to see if the employees who left the organization had the similar concerns. |
